2025 Year of Intentionality 1
My yearly theme for this 2025 is intentionality. This came to me when I notice that my devotional time has become ritualistic, I’m spending more time mindlessly scrolling on my phone. Below are some ideal outcomes for the year of intentionality:
- Be more intentional during devos
- Spend more time outputting than consuming
- Sleep earlier instead of watching youtube videos
- Be more present when I am with people
- Be more content with where I am and what I have
Time Tracking
To have some tangible metric for intentionality I have started tracking my time. Below are the buckets of categories that I am tracking:
- Input: For intentional consumptions (e.g. reading books, lessons, podcast)
- Output: For any activity that requires creativity, or any activity that practices a skill
- Devotion: Daily bible reading and prayer
- Health: Running, working out, stretching etc.
- Sleep: When intentionally trying to sleep
- Personal: Food, personal hygiene, intentional leisure time
- Chores: For when doing things that feels like a chore
- Social: When ever I am with people in a social setting (not in a work meeting)
- Travel: For time when driving/commuting
- Toilet: For when I am on the toilet
- Unintentional: For unintentional time
Work
Currently working as a RPA Developer full time.
Taking a Break From Seminary
Going to Heritage Seminary for Graduate Certificate of Theological Study (GCTS). Taking a break for the Spring and Summer semester. Starting again in the Fall.
Learning Japanese
Started learning Japanese around November of 2022. Mainly studying by comprehensible input, through watching anime and reading. Also doing daily Anki decks.
I hope to one day do missions in Japan to share the good news of Jesus Christ. Learning Japanese is just one of the steps to achieve that.
Health and Fitness
Trying to lose weight. Counting calories and doing a mix of running and calisthenics.
- For running I usually just run in the morning or at night, to avoid the sun. And I just follow the recommended run that my Garmin watch tells me.
- For calisthenics, I follow a modified version of the Recommended Routine from r/bodyweightfitness/.
Writing
Starting to write more and putting more things onto this website.
Jan N Tea
I am also currently serving in an Japanese Out Reach Ministry that mainly focuses on international student from Japan. They usually host events twice a month. I developed a website for event signups and other informations about our ministry.
Music
After the Japan trip, I’ve gotten a greater love for playing music. Spending a lot more time practicing drums and guitar.
