Onsen Ministry

• All of us ended up going in. Even though we were really anxious before the trip
• And God like wise work in His own way, and the girls was able to connect a Chinese lady and her family to the Buchanans

• Zenkoji (Buddhist temple) and Togakushi (two Shinto shrines)
• prayed for the peopel at the Shrine and Temple
• Ibara-san: Andrew shared the gospel with him, we prayed and gave him a copy of the Gospel of John

Motivation

• Vision Trip to see if Japan would be some where I want to do long term mission in.
• To see the work that the Buchanans are doing
• To report back to the church what they're doing
• To see how God is working in Japan, an unreached country that is open to the Gospel

From May 9th to May 19th the 8 of us went to Nagano, Japan to support [[The Buchanans]] Family.

Ongoing Prayer Request for the Ministry

• The Buchanan family to be united

  • Monthly support are down 2k but there a few big one time supports so they will be okay for a few months
• Pray for the people we met during the trip

• Encourage the next day at the Akura Church
  • Seeing how glad the members were that we were there (we haven’t done anything yet). And how they prayed for us. We were certain that God had a reason why we were there.

Children's Event

• Discouragement at the first day because half of our plan fell through
  • we had originally planned to play rice, and to help out at a high school with music but both of those plan fell . The weather was too cold for rice planting, and the school choose another band for their music program

Team Dynamic

• A bit worried in the begining that there might be cliques forming in the team. But it didn't happen at all.
• In fact the team grew closer, and each member of the team was able to use our diferences in making this trip work. We all used our gifts.

Music Concert

• It was raining on the day of the concert and we were not expecting a lot of people to show up
• Lily shared her testimony
• But the rain held up once the concert started and we've got a lot of people coming in.

Akura Church/Shabbat Dinner

• The church meets every Friday for a Shabbat dinner at one of the leader's house
• It was like a family gathering where the head of the family would pray and lead the family in a time of encouragement, confessing, repenting, and forgiving one another.
• The team enjoyed it so much that we brought it back to our church
